How to get to Porto Pozzo?

By plane: the destination airport is Olbia. Easyjet flies from Basel, Airberlin , Edelweiss Air or Kuoni from Zurich and Skywork from Bern.

Car Rental: At Olbia Airport, all car rentals are under the same roof, just a few steps from the terminal. I recommend that you reserve the car in advance. Sicily by Cars is particularly inexpensive (high season: queues), but Europcar, Hertz and Sixt are also on site.

By car: take the ferry from Genoa or Livorno to Olbia. Compare the prices of the various providers, such as Moby Lines , Sardinia Ferries or Grandi Navi Veloci , and book them online. Here you can find a map of the route from Olbia (ferry port) to Porto Pozzo .

Where can I shop? Where to get cash?

In Porto Pozzo there are three smaller shops where you can buy swimming equipment (flip flops, sunscreen, air mattresses, snorkels) and food. Pasta or frozen goods can be found in the village as well as bread, fruit, drinks and vegetables. There is also a pharmacy on the main street of the village.

You will also find an ATM for withdrawing cash in Porto Pozzo: it is next to the entrance  of the Valmarket. Should this machine not work, you will find another ATM in  San Pasquale and numerous other ATMs in Santa Teresa and in Palau.  It is best to combine this with dinner or a shopping spree in Santa Teresa, where you can also buy fresh meat and fish. Regional producers also sell at the market on Thursdays (from around 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.).

Where can I get Wifi (Internet access)?

In our apartment you have good internet reception via our own Wifi. When you're away from home, you don't have to do without the Internet: several bars and restaurants in the area offer their guests free WiFi access, for example in the osteria in Porto Pozzo. In Santa Teresa there are several bars with internet in the center (around the church), such as the Sport Bar or the Ristorante Da Thomas . The following applies to all of them: ask for a password!

Alternatively, you can buy a prepaid card for your smartphone, iPad or laptop (data traffic). It is best to do this in Olbia when you arrive, for example in the Auchan near the airport.
Guide price: 15-20 €uro for a SIM card including call credit and data. We recommend the SIM card from the Italian telecom companies Vodafone and TIM.
